46 suspected members of the Mombasa Republican Council,have been charged with taking an unlawful oath, with the aim of disturbing public peace.The suspects were arrested on Thursday afternoon at Shelly Beach in Likoni Constituency, at a ceremony where a bull was slaughtered. The suspects were also charged with taking part in an unlawful assembly, where they are accused of convening a meeting at Shelly beach without notifying the police.The suspects appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Rabera, and denied the offence. The magistrate however released the suspects on a 100,000 shillings bond each, with a surety of a similar amount. The case will be mentioned on December 6th
