These two tiny Cabbage white butterflies have been visiting the back yard for weeks. I found the companionship of these two tiny little creatures interesting. They appear to be mates, and in the second video they are easier to see. The female has two dots on her wing and the male has one. They always visit the flower garden together, and usually leave together. Sometimes they seem to play chasing each other around the yard. They were both in the front yard last week, and one went across the street in one direction and the other in the opposite. I thought that would be the end of their companionship, but they found each other and were back the next day. They are the only two butterfly visitors I have had so far this summer. I found their companionship and their ability to survive and enjoy each others company for so long admirable, and especially for such tiny fragile creatures in such a dangerous world. I hope they can enjoy the rest of the summer.
