UN peacekeeping mission in DRC deliberate on deaths of armed groups

The UN's Head of Peacekeeping says armed groups operating in the DRC's eastern regions constitute a major obstacle to collective efforts to fight the Ebola outbreak in the area. Jean-Pierre LeCroix and the head of the UN Mission to the country were addressing the media in New York. This after the deaths of 7 peacekeepers at the hands of a rebel group ambush by the notorious Allied Democratic Forces. Six Malawian and one Tanzanian peacekeeper were all members of the Force Intervention Brigade to which South Africa is a major troop contributor, were killed. For more news, visit: sabcnews.com
