http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, is a stunning red brick castle. Set on an island in a lake and dating back to the 14th century, the castle (rebuilt - what else) houses interesting museums. Our favorite was the unusual collection of tobacco pipes. We horsed around in the courtyard, strolled around the extremely crowded little town (Trakai is only a short distance from Vilnius) and then explored a little more...
