After her mom crushed one of her legs, Angel's caretakers had two options - put her down or save her life. They chose the latter. Now, with the help of a prosthetic, Angel the pony is getting a new chance at life.

Krister B Rollins, WCSH - INDUSTRY, Maine -- You'd be hard pressed to find two people more devoted to animals - especially horses - than Brenda and Lennie Green.

For the past nine years, the Greens have run the Double B Equine Rescue in the western Maine town of Industry.

In early June, they went above and beyond in saving the life of a miniature horse named Angel.

Angel's now receiving help from some unexpected benefactors... help that's making a huge difference in getting Angel back on her feet.

The Greens depend solely on donations to keep the barn doors open at the Double B. They are beyond grateful for the help from Gail Fitzmaurice, Bob Gallagher and the other folks at Maine Orthotic and Prosthetic Rehab who made Angel a prosthetic leg.
