I have seen scattered comments floating around the internet that say T.J. Warren should be in consideration for MIP. Now, I love Warren, and if he got some hardware, I wouldn't be too mad, but in what universe is he the most improved player out of all NBA players?

He increased his three-point firing rate and percentage. That's it. He improved it by a ton, granted, but his raw points are down by quite a bit. Not up, as you'd expect of someone who improved the most out of everyone. Down. Almost exactly the same per-minute, but who looks at per-minute stats when considering who should win the award?

So, all you people advocating for his MIP candidacy: thanks for trying to advance the cause of Warren, but you need to pick a different award for him to win. Like ROY, or the citizenship award that no one cares about.
