Today we'll witness young researchers attempting multiple scientific experiments. They each have a type of application noted by their shirt and coordinated car.

"Greeting junior researchers; please pay your fee to run one experiment. One coin per race, and don't worry, everyone gets a chance."

So you see, after each experiment, racers can switch lanes and they only have to pay for the lanes they use. The end result is a dynamic combination of applications that can be run simultaneously.

This is a new and exciting approach; now, let's look at the other solution. Racers must go one at a time, sure they can dedicate the same bandwidth to a single experiment, but if they want to do a different experiment or if they use different applications they must wait for the previous race to finish. And they have to pay for every flow cell whether they use it, or not. This approach is not nearly as friendly an environment that needs to run multiple types of experiments at the same time.
