Less than a month to the national fifteens team playing at the 2019 Rugby World Cup Repechage in Marseille, France and a financial crisis has hampered the squad's preparations.Monday saw players stage a sit-in, which forced the Kenya Rugby Union to source for funds to pay them three months salaries and allowances owed. KRU and Kenya Simbas have accused the government of neglect, saying the Sports Ministry has only settled its financial obligations with the sevens team. While the team’s head coach Ian Snook and his deputy Murray Roulston have been paid their salaries in advance as per their contracts, the remaining members of the team’s 10-man technical bench are yet to be paid allowances dating back to June.
