Students that take AP Music Theory at Parkland High School (Allentown, PA), taught by Dr. Scott Watson, must create a student-driven class final project. The only criteria is that the project must be collaborative (involving all the class) and reflect the scope and depth of what was studied during the year. This year (2018) the class chose to create original music for a multimedia presentation called "YEARBOOK" using still images and some video. Music was largely written in Noteflight and produced in GarageBand, with all performances (MIDI and audio recorded) by the students themselves or their friends.
