We are at the Long Beach Transportation Center in Nassau County, where we see all of the transportation modes offered the center has to offer. First up, we enter the 103 year old station house, where we take a quick look around at the waiting area. Then, we head up to the platforms, where we see a trio of LIRR M7 sets sitting in the station area. We then walk up to the roof deck of the parking garage, where we look north towards Reynolds Channel. We then walk down stairs and see the different buses as they await departure. There are three different types of buses here from two different companies; NICE and City Of Long Beach Bus. NICE, which stands for Nassau Inter-County Express, uses the Orion V CNG here, while City Of Long Beach uses two models of Gillig. The newer bus in the dark paint scheme is a 30 foot Gillig Advantage. The older bus in the white paint scheme is a 30 foot Gillig Phantom. Enjoy this multi-modal venue.
