LIMA, Ohio (WKRC) -- A prison escape earlier this month has spurred a review of Ohio prisons. The state is paying $50,000 dollars to inspect prison security. That includes supervision levels and inmate movements. It will also scrutinize a protective control unit where Chardon shooter T.J. Lane and 2 other inmates were staying. They escaped from the Allen Correctional Institution in Lima earlier this month. They were housed in a unit for inmates considered at risk of harm from other prisoners.
