Day 10 in the Atlantic, Day 27 in the Eastern Pacific
What's left of Storm Andrea has now moved beyond Newfoundland and out over the open North Atlantic ocean. The threat to North America is now non-existant, and the storm is expected to curve towards the north as it passes Ireland in two to three days' time.
Tropical Storm Yagi is continuing to push in a generally north to northeasterly direction whilst failing to strengthen at the moment, with maximum sustained winds of 40mph and a minimum central pressure of 996mb. The storm is not expected to intensify much, if any, and is likely to stop short of making landfall in Japan before dissipating.
