Breast Fest motorcycle ride raises money for breast cancer

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A charity motorcycle ride raised money for breast cancer on Sunday.

Hundreds of riders took part in Breast Fest.

The poker run started at The Banks downtown.

It ended with a party at McDog’s Lakeside Saloon in Colerain Township.

The event benefits two local women and The Pink Ribbon Girls.

Some of the riders are breast cancer survivors but most just want to give back.

“We also have a lot of people that said my mom had it, my sister had it,” said Kathy McCarthy, the event’s organizer for the last 13 years. “It sounds to me like 90 percent of the people in this crowd has been touched by it. Either a family member or a friend.”

The ride raised about $50,000.

This is the 13th year for the event.
