While speaking exclusively to our reporter Ken Murithi, MPs drawn from either end of the divide strongly spoke in favour or against the motion to impeach treasury CS Henry Rotich. Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka strongly condemned the move terming it a back door way of getting rid of the CS when the appointing authority is the president. Alego Usonga MP, Samuel Atandi and the mover of the motion, Didmus Barasa on the other hand, said CS Rotich should be censured for gross misconduct and abuse of office charges relating to the sugar importation and Ruaraka land saga.
