Ergovision has developed a system consisting of a video camera, GPS unit and a laptop which records GPS-embedded video and connects to a database for use in the management of road networks. The footage can be easily linked with a map giving real time location information, or the video can be accessed randomly and the map will update automatically. The users of the system can also create dynamic links between the footage and relevant information in the database. Using the 3D Estimator, the footage can be converted into 3D vector data, which can be used for measurement and analysis.
