A tea house in China plays a role similar to that of an American cafe. A place for people to gather, chat, socialize while enjoying a cup of tea, with or without small snacks. It was a short drive from there to Kaiyuan Buddhist Temple is one of the oldest, largest and most important in Quanzhou.
