Mukhriz Drops Suit After Tengku Sariffuddin Apologises

Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mukriz Mahathir withdrew his suit against Tengku Sarifuddin Tengku Ahmad. This after the former press secretary to the Prime Minister apoligised for defaming him in his press statements two years ago. In his apology tendered at the high court, Tengku Sariffuddin said he was sorry for making inaccurate statements against the Kedah Menteri Besar. And the negative effects the statements had had on Datuk Seri Mukhriz Datuk Seri Mukhriz filed the suit on May 3rd, 2016 claiming that Tengku Sharifuddin had issued four defamatory statements about him. He claimed the defamatory statements suggested that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and himself conspired to topple a legitimately elected government.
