If your dog if fearful about an object. Try this method in helping your dog to overcome fear. Patients is the key. If your dog is very scared, take a step back, keep your training session very short but re-do it often many times a day. When your dog shows fear do not respond to it by hugging or comfort your dog as it will only reinforce the fear emotion and respond. Instead ignore the fear drive by being calm, showing the dog there is nothing to worry about and slowly introduce and reinforce the positive experiences with treats and praise. As mentioned in the video, a lot of the fearful experience can be avoided if the owner remember to 'introduce' the puppy/dog such object positively.
