Aditya Ghosh quits IndiGo, Rahul Bhatia takes over as interim CEO

India’s largest airline IndiGo has announced changes in its top management with its president, Aditya Ghosh, resigning from the position effective 31st July.

In the interim, the airline’s promoter Rahul Bhatia will take charge as the chief executive officer and the company will consider appointing former senior executive Gregory Taylor as CEO in the coming months. 
While Ghosh will continue as president of InterGlobe Aviation Ltd till July end, his tenure as a director ended on April 26.

Ghosh’s resignation has come at a time when the budget carrier is embroiled primarily in two issues — one pertaining to the glitches with Pratt & Whitney engines on board its Airbus A320neo flight and two about recurrent cases of airline’s staff misbehaving with passengers going public. The company however, did not give any reason for the abrupt change in leadership.
