Instead of waiting on solutions to everyday, real-world problems, mechanical engineering students worked together to develop their own. Teams then demonstrated their finished products at Design Day 2018. One of the teams, Oyster Boys, developed an underwater microphone that listens for dredging caused by oyster poachers and alerts the authorities.
