Just before 4 pm Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of multiple alarms going off on the rooftop and crawl spaces of the former Brookshire Brothers Shopping Center located at US 59 and FM 1485. When they arrived employees of several offices in the shopping center reported seeing a male lift the ceiling tiles and look in also hearing someone moving around. Deputies called for a Porter Fire Department ladder truck and searched the roof area and the area the alarms had been triggered but were unable to find anyone. After several hours of searching, they returned to service.
