Silent Super-8mm home movie clips aboard the High Endurance Coast Guard Cutter Winona (WHEC-65) on Ocean Station Victor patrol. This is the 1970 Crossing the Line Ceremony where anyone who had never crossed the 180th meridian (the International Date Line) at sea is initiated into the Realm of the Golden Dragon. After I had been thoroughly initiated, I grabbed my camera and filmed some of the other initiates until my film ran out.
