The Matlosana municipality in Klerksdorp in the North West has a new mayor. The new mayor, who is former council speaker, Washington Ntozini, was elected by some ANC councillors who colluded with opposition parties during a special council meeting earlier today. This is after the removal of former mayor, Maetu Kgaile three weeks ago, through a motion of no confidence sponsored by the EFF.
