MY PANDORIC DRIVEL ENDS AT 20:00.
In this postmodern Age of Technology, being counterculture, revolutionary or even occult has a very short shelf life. They quickly putrefy by the energies of Social Networking radiation, Mass Media laser-dissection, and the unbearable sunlight of fame seduction. Both ancient wisdom and cutting edge philosophy are rapidly sent into marketing slaughterhouses or diluted by New Age sloth. Orthodoxy doesn't even have to lift a finger to win, yet even it must fight for its identity against cancerous memes and sound-bite spirituality! Can even the Gnostic Spirit remain holy iconoclasm or will it be doomed to join the heartless establishment? We explore this and many other issues befalling Modern Esoterica, hoping to find that no-man's land in both cyberspace and mundane life where the mystic and the artist can truly thrive, evolve and instill enlightenment into a civilization that is rapidly growing dark with quiet despair and material prostitution.

Astral Guest-- Erik Davies, author of 'TechGnosis: Myth, Magic & Mysticism in the Age of Information' and 'Nomad Codes: Adventures in Modern Esoterica' .

Topics Discussed:
--Understanding the quantum enigma of studying the Esoterica—as soon as you begin watching it changes to a different aspect.
--Ways one can surf the choppy waters of cyberspace to gain true mystic teachings instead of commercialized and watered down theologies.
--How to make the Gnostic Spirit work for you in these chaotic days that are eerily similar to the Greco-Roman times the Gnostics thrived in (and hopefully not get wiped out).
--Erik discusses many of his articles in 'Nomad Codes' that include the genius of HP Lovecraft, Goa DJ's, modern Shamans and other aspects of what he calls 'Modern Esoterica'.
--The Gnostic post-modern wisdom of such greats as Hans Jonas, Harold Bloom and Philip K. Dick.
--The soul-killing effects of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, and what are their antidotes besides becoming Neo plugged in to exploit their dominance.
--Erik gives his views on the Gnostics, including their dualism, world-hating, and dimensions exploration.
--The sad notions of social and spiritual slacktivism (or clicktivism).
