It was time to get out of the smoke from the raging wild fires in the valley we live in and go enjoy a weekend away as a family. We drove the 3 hours to Great Basin National Park and enjoyed a weekend hiking, camping and caving around the park. 

Great Basin is an amazing, secluded National Park. As far as visitation goes, it's closer to the bottom of the list with just about 100,000 visits a year. Compare that to Zion National Park which sees 4.5 Million annually.
