Kenya imports sugar from the EAC and COMESA to meet her demand

In the last ten months, Kenya has imported about 70% of its sugar imports from East African Community member countries and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa) despite production nearly doubling in this period as compared to last year.
