They are two of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet, and I am grateful that our paths were fortunate enough to cross. Despite working a full-time job and his duties as a father and husband, Rick was willing to invest a great deal of time in me and my craft. From helpful tips with navigating Cubase to sending over a few percussion and bass ideas when I was stuck on a piece, he never failed to offer whatever help he could. Sometimes Rick and I would spend hours "together" over the course of a week, kicking ideas and tips back and forth - all for the glory of songs no one will ever listen to for a man he would never actually meet. And, of course, Alice was always willing to chip in her own share. Rather than be ambivalent about Rick's interests, she would invest a great deal of her own time to create marvelous videos. I am a better composer and producer for having met Rick and Alice, but even more, I am a better man. Please check out their channel. Justin -------------------------------------- Just a few odds and ends: All images are from videos uploaded on the bios36 channel, used with Alice's permission. As with all collabs, the final result isn't always the original target. When I wrote this song, it was Iron and Wine's "Naked as We Came" that I thought "All in Dreams" would resemble. Instead, it ended up more like an 80's pop ballad - a change that I don't regret in the least. It is good to stretch outside your normal comfort zone and see if success can be found in a different approach. That said, it is a good deal different than my usual upload, so I won't hold it against you if it wasn't what you expected. ;-) For those who prefer the more somber side of Oswlek, you won't have a long wait. Not long at all. There is a quick audio flaw at the very beginning of this video. I don't know if I botched something up making the vid or if YT felt like leaving a mark, but please be willing to overlook it either way. ;-)
