Three injured as lorry runs over an explosive device in Kiunga, Lamu

Three people are nursing serious injuries after a lorry they were traveling in ran over an Improvised Explosive Device near Sankuri on the Hindi Kiunga.
The three were ferrying goods from Mokowe to Kiunga when their lorry ran over the device said to have been planted on the road by Al Shabaab militants. Operation Linda Boni Director, Joseph Kanyiri, says the three were immediately evacuated by security officers taking part in the multi agency security operation and flown to Kiunga dispensary for first aid treatment.
