'Twilight' hunk Kellan Lutz stars as muscular demi-god Hercules in this action-packed epic origin story. Ancient Greece, 1200 B.C. The son of Zeus and mortal Queen Alcmene (Roxanne McKee), Hercules (Kellan Lutz) incurs the wrath of his stepfather, King Amphitryon (Scott Adkins). Blessed with phenomenal strength, this strapping young man soon falls for the lovely Hebe (Gaia Weiss), Princess of Crete. But Hebe has been promised to his jealous, ineffectual and petulant brother, Iphicles (Liam Garrigan). Exiled and sold into slavery in Egypt, Hercules must now use his incredible powers to fight his way home, claim his rightful kingdom, and free his people from tyranny. Kellan Lutz, who played Emmett Cullen in the 'Twilight' series, buffs up impressively to play the mythological Greek hero. Watch out too for Liam McIntyre, star of TV's 'Spartacus', as Hercules's ally Sotiris. The director of this big-budget epic is Renny Harlin, of 'Die Hard 2', 'Cliffhanger' and 'Deep Blue Sea' fame.
