Every day there are constructions and demolitions at the Grand Canyon. If a plant grows in rocks and its roots grow, the rock eventually breaks. With erosion by wind and weather, this process makes the Grand Canyon just a little bit bigger.
But the greatest shaper of all is and will be the Colorado river which, just as the old solitary trees which are located several hundred metres higher, determine the landscape and its many changes of scenery.
