DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv Chinou Gijutsu Corporation is developing a robot that prevents traffic accidents on highway roads that are under construction. This Nioh (Guardian) robot system uses stereo cameras and radar to detect vehicles that are headed towards road construction sites. The system notifies construction workers via a bone conduction microphone speaker embedded in their helmets. With the bone conduction microphone speaker system, construction workers are able to detect sounds even in noisy areas such as construction sites. Currently in the last stage of development, the system will be used on actual highway construction sites beginning this winter.
