Beyond Reality - Top Chef Vegas Recap 9/02/09  
Last week Eve had to pack her knives & go.  
Quickfire - Mark Peel is the guest chef/judge.  The challenge is to create an out of this world dish featuring potatoes in 45 mins.  
Bottom - Eli, Ron & Jesse.  
Top - Jennifer, Ash & Ashley.  
Ashley wins for her mussels in potato sauce.  She has immunity for this weeks elimination challenge.  
Elimination Challenge - Guest Col. Dave Belote, Commander of the Nellis Air Force Base explains the chefs will be cooking for 300 airmen that have returned from duty or will be heading off shortly.  All of the chefs will be working on 1 team & the facility & ingredients are top secret & wont be revealed until they arrive there tomorrow.  
The chefs decide to break down into teams of two and Jennifer will be the executive chef coordinating them.  
When they get to the base they see that they will be cooking in a military kitchen with mostly canned & dry foods.  
Theyll have four hours to cook.  The judges are Padma, Tom, Gail, Mark Peel & Commander Belote.  
Everyone was thrilled with the dishes they presented.  The chefs did a great job for the servicemen.  
Top - Eli & Kevin & Mike & Michael.
Michael V wins.  
Bottom - Preeti, Laurene & Mike again.  
Preeti has to pack her knives & go.  
Next week - the loser of the Quickfire will be eliminated.
