The motion picture box office can be a tricky thing to understand. When a movie makes a lot of money, does that mean it's a good movie? When a movie makes very little money, does that mean it's not a good movie? Are box office openings for Superman, Batman, Star Wars, Wonder Woman and other proven, bonafide properties predictable?
