Affiance - Monuments Fail drum cover. Affiance brings a very unique sound to prog metal, sort of like Protest The Hero if you guys have heard of them. I absolutely love the vocals. That singer has an insane range. I also like how he doesn't scream. Screaming has its time and place but I really think intense singing fits this music better. Props to Affiance for achieving a unique, engaging sound on their album Blackout.

The drum track for "Monuments Fail" was a pretty epic one. The catchy, heavy double bass groove is what caught my attention when I was selecting a song off of Blackout to cover. I'm not a huge fan of the super fast bass drum parts but I suppose they fit in this song. 

I'm having some trouble with my rack tom audio. My snare mic is for some reason now picking up a ton of the rack tom and it's just too much. Unfortunately, my rack tom mic isn't picking up enough sound. As you can see this is quite the dilemma. I'm sure I'll have it settled by my next video. Mixing drums over a song with a lot of double bass is always a challenge as well.
