Professor Chris Malikane has hit back at his critics for his radical views on economic transformation which have been described by some market commentators as too scary. Malikane has been linked to Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's controversial report into the ABSA/Bankorp apartheid- era bailout in which she called for the mandate of the Reserve Bank to be changed from protecting the value of the rand to protecting the poor.
