The idea behind cremation is to dispose the body as early as possible in a hygienic manner. Hinduism talks about Evolution by Darwin and they go by his statement that if you do not evolve then you will die. The same way religions are always evolving. However, some people may believe that cremation is a sort of tradition. The Hindu religion does not prevent anyone's right of cremation. Hinduism simply says that think for yourself and decide which certain method you want to adapt. Everyone should look deeply in their religion to come up with better solutions.
