When all is said and done, Kent "Bazed God" Bazemore's career is likely to be forgotten by all by the most ardent NBA enthusiasts. Only those with an inclination to the obscure and unknown will bother to recall his name or his teams. Even I will forget about him, just like I had forgotten about Trevor Booker until just now.

On the off-chance that a future person stumbles across Bazemore's basketball-reference page, perhaps linked to it while looking at teammates of eight-time champion and three-time MVP Stephen Curry, their curiosity will immediately be supplanted by confusion. Why was Bazemore the full-time starter for the Hawks for four years? Was he good or he was he just getting enough minutes to allow him to pretend he was good? Why does his name sound like the name of a racist senator from Alabama who secretly wants to reinstate Jim Crow laws? Why did he get paid almost twenty million dollars in the 2019-20 season?

Yes, Bazemore will completely exit the minds of NBA fans once his career ends. Even Hawks fans themselves will be eager to wipe memory of these seasons from their memory. But this video will always remain a testament to his ability to be an okay scorer...sometimes.
