The City of Cape Town's Disaster Risk Management Service says it's continuing with efforts to educate residents of informal settlements about fire safety. An awareness campaign has been conducted in Burundi Informal Settlement in Cape Town. Awareness sessions are also conducted at schools, early childhood development centres and old-age care facilities.
