Amit Ivry, a native of the Israeli seaside resort city of Eilat, swims six hours a day and specializes in the butterfly stroke. 

"I think it's really important for us to represent Israel in the Olympic Games," she says. "The world will know that we are here and we do sports also." She doesn't expect to win a medal, but hopes at least to make the semifinals.
