Imri Ganiel excels at the breast stroke, but ironically he was born in a desert town called Omer. The town had a pool that everyone used, so Ganiel also went for swimming lessons when he was eight, and found he really enjoyed it. "Israel is such a small country and doesn't get a chance to win medals at a lot of competitions, so if I win a medal it would be great for the whole country," he says.
