Written by City News Service - A 2-year-old boy was found standing on a street in Bell
this morning, and the toddler's mother later went to the police station, where
she was interviewed, authorities said.
The pajama-clad toddler, who was crying and holding his blanket, was
found around 3 a.m. in the 6700 block of Chanslor Avenue by a man who had just
gotten off work, a news photographer reported from the scene.
Officers made an announcement over a loudspeaker that brought people
from their homes, but no one recognized the child, and he was taken to the
police station, according to the photographer.
A little while later, the boy's mother went to the police station, and
she was interviewed, according to police. An investigation was being conducted
to review the circumstances of the case, police said. LOUDLABS NEWS
