A romantic fan video counterpart to my still capture based video for Casino Royale. Probably the first Bond film in years that actually emotionally invests you in both Bond and his love interest. His mission after sabotaging Le Chiffre's effort to bank off an airline's prototype destruction joins him with Treasury Agent Vesper Lynd. The two are very much at odds at first despite the mission's objective, which is to stop Le Chiffre's attempt to recoup from the Miami failure.

Their lives become inextricably intertwined in the pursuit of Le Chiffre. Leiter gains Bond a buy back in after Vesper refuses to give him any more money after he loses out to the banker. The tell is mistaken of course he knows that after. Once back in however the banker's lady tries to poison him and so he'll have to find a way to stop it except he passes out without connecting the last wire. Vesper finishes it and he'll jokingly return to the table saying the last hand was almost the death of him.

He'll beat him and Leiter will make the pick up that is until Vesper is abducted by the banker's men. Bond pursues only to be caught himself and someone mysteriously contributes to their survival as well as Le Chiffre's death. Mathis will be painted a traitor thanks to Le Chiffre's statements.

Bond and Vesper disappear after Bond thinks the money is on its way back to England only to discover that Vesper was the double agent because whoever twisted her arm claimed they were holding her boyfriend. She went along with their demands to save him, but she also made demands that they leave Bond out of this, let him walk away.

He had however decided to track her once discovering what she was up to that morning in Venice. As he follows and handles the operatives of whoever blackmailed her he recalls all the time together since the train ride to Montenegro. He let her in, he loves her, he cares about her, but everything else she did does not quite add up against his own feelings for her. The side of him that is strictly for taking his ego out of the equation cannot trump the part of him that feels betrayal and confusion about what to do next.

Part of him wants to desperately save her and the other part aims to stop whoever is here for the money. In the end, he goes after her when the elevator car plunges into the water as the building set for demolitions crumbles into the water too. As for the money, the mysterious Mr. White slips away yet he won't stay hidden for long as Vesper's parting message for James directs him to where to find White.

"Hello... who is this?"

Bang.

"The name is Bond, James Bond."
