Mao Zedong began his Long March in October 1934, Jiangxi Province and actually passed through Moxi in 1935 where he commandeered a house owned by the Catholic Church next door to rest for two weeks. This house has now been turned into a museum extolling glorious Chairman Mao.

The custodian unlocked the door and led us through while ex-Marine (husband, Steve) and I showed the proper respect due Mao while traveling through China by always referred to him as "Chairman Mao." Since my history is practically non-existant, it was very interesting. Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and Like. Thanks.
