South African retail giant Shoprite has launched a massive skills development initiative to help tackle youth unemployment. More than 5.5 million young people are locked out of the job market because of a lack of skills and education. Shoprite is the largest private sector employer, with 148-thousand workers. It is now training young people in the art of business, as Julie Scheier reports.
