Xi Jinping has proposed upgrading China-Africa bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. This came in his keynote speech at the opening of the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Johannesburg. He also put forward proposals for seeking common development in China and Africa.
