At least 11 carriages and other railway infrastructure have been destroyed by fire at Cape Town Station. Metrorail says forensic teams are busy gathering evidence about the incident. It affected operations on Platforms 15 and 16 this afternoon. Four fire engines and two water tankers were deployed to the scene. No injuries have been reported at this stage.
