We drive a short distance from Sucevita to a trail that leads uphill through Beech Forests, very muddy Beech Forests I might add since we've had days of rain, before heading downhill towards a river. The trail then followed the course of the river before emerging into a grassy valley.
The valley trail became stonier while rumbles of thunder ominously came and went along with short bursts of heavy rain. ("Went" is the important word since hiking in a thunderstorm is not fun or advisable.) Houses began appearing followed by the little village of Putna, close to the Ukrainian border and where Maranel stood waiting for the group. Please don't forget to Subscribe Share and Like. Thanks.
