COLD SPRING, Ky. (Adam Clements) -- While police search for the driver of a car that hit and killed a man in cold spring his loved ones cope with their loss. 37 year old Lenny James Shay was hit while crossing the street early Tuesday morning.  Local 12 News reporter Adam Clements spoke with Shay's wife Wednesday.  She hopes anyone who knows what happened will come forwardLenny Shay just wanted a late night snack so he left his apartment on Rockyview Drive and made the short trip across the street to a Speedway.  It's a walk he's done many times before.Early Tuesday morning Lenny wouldn't make it back home, and now his family wants to know why.His wife, Kim Shay, said, It's been hell.  It's been hell for me and his son and his whole family.Kim Shay wishes she would have stopped her husband from leaving the house.He said no baby I'll be fine, there's not much traffic on the road.  At the time I said Lenny I can take you.  He said no I'm ok.Kim says Lenny suffered from a rare disorder that left him with poor vision.He still had some of his sight left but it was terrible to do it at night.  That's why I would always yell at him for that.  But he wanted to be a big man and do it himself so I try to give him that.  He's done it before.  It's never been like that.Now Kim and Lenny's eleven year old son, Dylan, are left with a gaping hole.I want to see justice being served, that's what I want to see.  I want them people to understand they got families too and if it happened to their families they would want the same thing.  They would want the same thing. Right now investigators are working to find the person responsible for this.  They've got pieces of the vehicle they believe struck Lenny Shay.  They say it's a dark color of charcoal and they have determined that it's a Toyota.Right now they're trying to figure out a year, a make, a model, and narrow things down a little more to hopefully find the person who claimed the life of Lenny Shay.Cold Spring police say they are still looking for leads.
