Kavita Mahant, 14, and Himshila Kumari Yadav, 15, have been campaigning for the repair of the roof of the anganwadi centre in their village and of the boundary wall. The roof has been leaking heavily whenever it rains, ever since a tree fell on it during last year's monsoon season. The boundary wall then collapsed when a wild elephant entered the school yard on a rampage. After they reported on the issue, repairs have begun.
