Felda Land Deal: Police Summon Isa Samad

The police will summon former Felda chairman, Tan Sri Isa Samad to facilitate investigation into the dubious ownership transfer of four plots of land worth RM 270 million in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur. Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said several other parties would also be called up over the matter. A special task force has already been formed to investigate the matter, a day after Felda lodged a police report over the case on December 12th. The case is being investigated under the Penal Code for cheating and forgery of documents. Berita Harian recently published an exposé on Felda being at grave risk of losing ownership of the strategic piece of land, following what has been described as a ‘dubious deal’ in 2015. In response to the report, Felda chairman, Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad told reporters that they will go all out to regain the land.
